1. Introduction to Seven Days in August
This document contains specialized installation and
operation notes.
For an introduction to Seven Days in August, please take the Tour
that is available from the Guidemap menu. The Guidemap menu appears
after the opening screens of 7Days.
2. Minimum Requirements for 7Days
DOS version 5.0 or higher
2 MB RAM
386 25 MHz or greater
CD-ROM drive (150 KB per second, continuous read, 380 MS seek)
Audio device and speakers
3. Installation instructions
Change to the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive and enter "install".
Follow the instructions that appear on your screen for selecting the
appropriate driver for your sound board.
Note: For your convenience the 7Days installation program will
load the selected audio device driver using default parameters.
If the settings of your board do not match the default
parameters, you may enter alternative settings during
the install. You would only need to do this once.
If you have a device installed in your system that
conflicts with the interrupt number of your sound
board, you will need to re-install or change interrupt
jumper settings for the boards in your system until
the conflict is resolved. One symptom of an interrupt
conflict is repetitive playing of a short segment of audio.
4. Starting 7DAYS
Change to the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive and enter "go".
5. Running DOS 5.0 or 6.0 on an 80386 or Higher System
The following example includes an IBM CD-ROM drive. Include these
lines in addition to other statements specific to your system.

during the 7Days installation.
7. Tandy Sensation
If you have a Tandy Sensation without a Sound Blaster board, you

prompt is displayed:
The required driver is already on the system. Do you want
to use the current driver or install a new driver?
5. Click on Current.
6. Select Close to return to the Windows desktop.
7. Exit Windows. Restart Windows to initialize the driver.

If you are experiencing problems on your Tandy Sensation: Please
visit your local Radio Shack store and request a copy of "the

MPC." The store worker will call Radio Shack Customer Support and
request the diskette to be sent to the store for the customer.
